Silent Hill 2 Remake may not be completely faithful to Konami’s original horror game, but it’s certainly still scary. Those strange, oozing monsters. An unforgiving fog. The feeling that the town itself is somehow alive, sentient, and using James’s own soul to torment him. For those who have previously resisted the remake of Silent Hill 2, one of the scariest games of the year, it’s suddenly cheaper than ever.
One of the best horror games available on PC, SH2 Remake is a frighteningly good time for newcomers and fans alike. More action-packed than the 2001 original, Silent Hill 2’s gripping story and sensationally terrifying atmosphere make it one of the best PC games in the genre.
Silent Hill 2 nails the psychological horror vibe. As frightening as it can be, much of its deeper meaning is hidden in the fog. It’s a great experience, but don’t just take my word for it.
