GTA 6 is still on track for a fall 2025 release, and the game will reportedly receive some significant improvements on PS5 Pro, as well as a special console bundle.
With less than a year until the release of Rockstar Games’ long-awaited GTA 6, fans have been asking for updates since the first official trailer was released in December 2023.
Although the developers are keeping quiet about new details, a new report claims that GTA VI will be even better on PS5 Pro thanks to PSSR 2.0.

According to HipHop Gamer, Grand Theft Auto 6 will be “enhanced” on PS5 Pro, but the details are probably more varied than players realize.
“When[GTA 6]is released, to my knowledge, it will be the first opportunity to see what PSSR is actually like in terms of the 2.0 version. is its first iteration,” he said.

PSSR allows for AI upscaling and tons of extra detail, potentially making GTA 6 ultra-realistic.

HipHop Gamer added that PSSR 2.0 and firmware updates are coming to GTA 6, and that developers are “working on it in dramatic ways.”
“There’s a lot of work to be done when it comes to things like open-world games. You just have to lower the resolution before things start going crazy and performance starts to break. All I can say is that PSSR 2.0 is a big help, especially with things like ray tracing. We’ve rebuilt all of that using nature and it’s going to be amazing for GTA 6.”

He further stated that the PS5 Pro will be dropped in place and will receive a GTA 6 bundle to help sell the units.
According to the developer, Rockstar Games GTA 6’s realism will “wow people.”
These comments come just weeks after the former GTA 6 developer teased that the game’s realism would “shock people,” and to some extent echo what the hip-hop gamer was saying.
As with everything else in GTA 6, take these comments with a pinch of salt until Rockstar themselves make an announcement.

So far, players are waiting for news about the game’s second trailer, which they believe could be released sometime in November. We’ll see if what HipHop Gamer says comes true, or if a console bundle is announced when more information about the game is revealed.
