Destiny: Rising (NetEase)
This week, the official Destiny: Rising Discord posted several more snippets about the upcoming closed alpha test starting November 1st for select players in the US and Canada. First, it recommends that players use a controller “to maximize accuracy in shooting and gameplay.”
There is also information about what will be playable in the alpha version. The official FAQ states, “The majority of the main campaign is available, and at least one map is available in every game mode.” NetEase says the focus of the testing is on optimizing the “core PvE experience,” but notes that “this is still an early build of the game, and much of it, including the monetization system, is still subject to change over time.” “We are planning to do so,” he warned.
The game was officially announced last week, but no release date has been set yet.
Pokemon TGC Pocket (Pokemon Co., Ltd.)
This is a more casual digital version of the popular Pokemon trading card game. Players can open two packs of cards per day for free, and it features streamlined game rules based on the existing combat system. Coming to iOS and Android on October 30th.
Neko Atsume 2 (hit points)
This cat-collecting sequel challenges players to combine food, treats, and toys to attract feline friends to their homes and keep them there. As spotted by PocketGamer, it’s now released on iOS and Android.
Royal Kingdom (Dream Games)
The sequel to this powerful royal match is currently in soft launch on iOS and Android in Australia, UK, Canada, Philippines, Turkey, and US. As we explained in August 2023, this takes the highly successful Royal Match format and adds more PvP competition and builder elements.
The new teaser trailer above suggests the game could be released globally in time for Thanksgiving. We have reached out to Dream for confirmation and will update this story if we receive a response.
Dark and Darker Mobile (Krafton)
The release date for this dark fantasy extraction RPG has been pushed back from this year to early 2025. Crafton said the changes will give him more time to enhance the gameplay and make sure it’s technically sound.
Karion (Devolver Digital)
Players can pre-register to download the “reverse horror” game on iOS and Android, with an October 31st release date listed on the App Store. You can start for free and unlock the entire game via IAP.
TED Tumblers (Netflix)
A daily word puzzle game that supports solo play and turn-based online battles. Players can now pre-register on Android and iOS ahead of the November 19th release on Netflix and Ted.com.
Bloom City Match (Rovio)
The makers of Angry Birds have released the puzzle and decoration game in Canada, Denmark, Finland, Poland, Spain, Sweden, and the United Kingdom for both iOS and Android.
Magic Chess: Go Go (Moonton)
According to Appmagic, the autobattler chess game has been soft-launched on Android in Indonesia and the Philippines.
Part-time UFO (HAL Institute)
Physics-based puzzle game Part Time UFO was delisted from mobile app stores this week. Released in 2017, it is the first mobile game from Nintendo’s longtime collaborator HAL Laboratories, which has stated that a Switch version of the title will still be available.
Forgotten Memories: Remastered Edition (Psychose Interactive)
According to Gematsu, the third-person survival horror game is available for pre-order today ahead of its release on iOS and Android on October 28th. The original 2015 version of Forgotten Memories costs $3.99, so you may have to pay upfront for the remastered version as well.
Gwen’s Escape (Ubisoft)
As we reported earlier this week, Ubisoft’s spin on the “Scapes” genre was canceled nearly a year after its soft launch.
