Laney Wilson is one of the most famous figures in country music.

The 32-year-old American singer-songwriter and actress from Baskin, Louisiana, has five studio albums and has appeared on the hit show Yellowstone.

Most recently, she continued her incredible rise to the top with her first ever Grammy Award for Best Country Album for Bell Bottom Country, an incredible milestone for any artist. .

It’s been a bit of a whirlwind for Rainey lately, touring and releasing new music, and it’s been a bit of a whirlwind, which is why she called her latest album that. .

Looking back at ‘Whirlwind’, which was released in August and featured hits like ‘4x4xU’, ‘Hang Tight Honey’ and ‘Good Horses’ featuring Miranda Lambert, Rainey revealed a new side to her fans with her latest album. told 9honey Celebrity.

“I call this song ‘Whirlwind’ because that’s what my life has been like the last few years,” Wilson says.

“Really, I think this is the best work we’ve ever done. I’m my own worst critic, but my band got to play on this album, and this record is the best thing I’ve ever done. To be honest, I didn’t do that.”I didn’t know that existed during this ever-changing time in my life.

“I wanted to write and record this music. I feel like it reminded me of who I am, where I came from, and what this is really about. It’s been a whirlwind, but… Making this music has allowed me to keep my feet firmly on the ground. ”

Wilson, who said one of his favorite songs on the album is ‘Ring Finger’, talked about putting his heart and soul into his songs, and admitted that expressing his emotions through songs can be “scary”. But, he said, “that wall has to come down.” , becomes vulnerable. ”

“I like to say I’m a songwriter before I’m an artist, but as a songwriter, having the opportunity to sit in a room and write music with other people has helped me improve myself, other people, and this country. “In general, I’m a more understanding and empathetic person,” she says.

However, Wilson’s success and rise to the top was not without a lot of hard work and determination.

The artist impersonated Miley Cyrus’ character Hannah Montana years before becoming a huge hit, living in a trailer parked behind a recording studio.

Wilson credits her family and support system for getting her through the difficult times.

“It wouldn’t have been possible without the support, guidance, tough love, and sometimes help of others,” she recalls.

“Maybe four years ago, maybe three years ago, I texted my sister. I was too proud to ask my parents for money. And I said, ‘I want to eat this week. Could you give me a dollar?’

“That’s what family is for, to step in when they need you, when you need them. And I found my family, my crew, my band in Nashville. Ta.”

But Wilson never gave up or gave up on his childhood dreams.

“It was like faith: naivety, fear of failure, and my parents believing in me,” she says of what drove her.

“And it was so weird. When I was 19, I went to a conference and met every record label in town, and they were like, ‘We’re not ready yet.’ Inside, I thought, “That’s what I would do.” If I had always said no, I would never have had this opportunity. So I thought, “How can I take this no and still turn it into a no?” ”

Rainey said she knew she wanted to be a singer-songwriter from an early age.

No one knew she was country music royalty until she was an adult

“I sang it in public for the first time at my kindergarten graduation…When I wrote my first song at age 9, my parents took me on a trip to Dollywood and we just drove through Nashville. I begged for it,” she said. Say.

“I remember having this overwhelming feeling. Even at the age of nine, the Holy Spirit was on my heart. I was supposed to do this. I told my family, told me I should be in Nashville because they believed in me and helped me get there when I was 19.”

Now an entrepreneur and business owner who runs his own bar called Bell Bottoms Up, Rainey says he’s “proud” of how far he’s come and being a “good person.”

She says one of her favorite things to do is perform, and likens it to “therapy.”

“I felt like I could go outside and my worries completely disappeared,” she says.

She also has special moments on stage at her shows, often “crowning cowgirls” on stage and sharing empowering messages to her young fans. And this heartwarming moment is especially important to Laney.

“The more you get into this, the more you realize, ‘Okay, there’s a lot of little girls looking at you,’ and there are some things and things that I would have done that they would have done.” “I feel like it’s some kind of responsibility to teach them a little bit sooner,” she says gently.

“I think it’s important to show these little girls that you’re beautiful and you’re talented and you can do it. I think it’s about sharing the wisdom that was shared with me. I don’t want it to be just for me. That’s unfair.”

Rainey’s new album “Whirlwind” has been released.
