Former Indian cricket team all-rounder Yuvraj Singh has revealed a funny personal story from his time in the 2007-08 Border-Gavaskar Trophy in Australia. In the latest episode of the Club Prairie Fire podcast, Yuvraj recalled that he was dating an actress who happened to be filming in Australia at the time. The legendary all-rounder revealed that the stressful series led to a dramatic series of events for him. He asked her not to meet him for a while as he needed to concentrate on the match, but she went to Canberra to meet him, which led to a hilarious incident involving the cricketer.
“I was dating an actress, I won’t mention her name. (She’s) very good at the moment and has a lot of experience. She was filming in Adelaide. I told her, ‘Listen. , I said, “Let’s not see each other for a while because I’m on tour in Australia.” She followed me to Canberra by bus. We didn’t get many runs in the two Tests. And I thought, ‘What am I doing here?’ And she said, ‘I want to spend time with you,”’ Yuvraj said.
“So I met her in the evening and we started chatting. I said to her, you need to focus on your career and I’m also on the Australian tour, so what does that mean? I told her I needed to focus on my career.Anyway, we were leaving Canberra for Adelaide, so she packed my suitcase. ” he added.
“In the morning, I was like, ‘Where are my shoes?’ She said, ‘I packed my bags. I asked, “How can I get on the bus?” And she said, “Wear mine.” She was wearing pink slip-ons. And I thought, “Oh my god.” I had to wear pink slip-ons and had a bag in front of my shoes to hide them. The players saw that and clapped for me. I had to wear pink slip-ons to the airport until I bought flip-flops at the airport. ”
