Sonos today announced two new products in its home theater line, including Sonos Arc Ultra and Sonos Sub 4.

Sonos Arc Ultra has some big improvements, including a new slimmer design that allows for even smaller gaps between your TV unit and your TV.
Improved soundstage from 5.1.2 to 9.1.4 with new transducers dedicated to high, mid and low frequencies. It also uses the new Sound Motion technology that Sonos acquired a few years ago, and Trueplay is now available on Android as well. In terms of power consumption, idle power consumption is reduced by 20%.
Bluetooth is now supported for those who want to connect that way. We’ve also added a new audio enhancement feature that allows you to switch between three levels of audio enhancement depending on how important it is to you.
SONOS ARC ULTRA Australian price and release date
Sonos Arc Ultra will be released in Australia on October 29th and pre-orders are now open. It costs AU$1,799 ($300 more than the Arc) and comes in both black and white.

The new Sonos Sub 4 doesn’t look much different than the Sub 3, but it has a new matte design that I really like.
Improvements include more processing power and memory, improved Wi-Fi radio, and better connectivity. In terms of power consumption, idle power consumption is reduced by 50%.
The truth is, from a performance standpoint, you probably won’t see much of an improvement over the already impressive Sub 3, so there’s probably no great reason to upgrade.
SONOS SUB 4 Australian price and release date
Sonos Sub 4 will be released in Australia on October 29th and pre-orders are now open. Priced at AU$1,299 (same as Sub 3), it comes in new matte black and matte white.
We’ll have reviews of the Sonos Arc Ultra and Sonos Sub 4 in the next month or so. I’d like to replace my current Arc, which I’ve been using for the past few years, and see how it compares.
