Xbox has released two new Xbox Series X consoles, a discless model and a Galaxy Black model (take a closer look here). I wasn’t game enough to take it apart, but thankfully YouTuber Austin Evans has done it and has some great teardowns. difference.
The chip is a new 7nm to 6nm design, and the console’s motherboard and cooling system have been completely redesigned. Many of the components on the motherboard have been moved, and the vapor chamber cooling system is gone, replaced by a more traditional copper heat pipe design.
While heat and noise didn’t change much, Evans noticed that both Xbox Series X models used less power when idling and gaming compared to the original model. This may not mean much to the average gamer, but it’s a big deal for Xbox Cloud Server because it uses actual Xbox Series X hardware to run Xbox Cloud Server. Masu.
