Nintendo today refocused Nintendo’s Switch 2 specific UI features, revealing some small information from the Nintendo Switch 2 settings.
The first is the new maximum charging setting that stops Switch 2 charging above 90% to reduce battery degradation. This is something people can turn off (it’s unclear what it will be by default), and electronics are commonly used to extend battery life.
“The Nintendo Switch 2 system will stop charging once the remaining 90% is reached. Pausing charging at about 90% reduces battery deterioration. When “Stop Charging 90%” is turned on, the charging speed will decrease by about 90%. ” says Nintendo.
Interestingly, looking at the settings in the video, we revealed that the Switch 2 has a pin that unlocks the screen for those who want protection. This was a feature of other Nintendo consoles, but it was missing from the original Nintendo Switch.
It will be interesting to see other information that will give you more information as it will be released on June 5th.
