The first trailer for Nicole Kidman and Hugh Jackman’s Faraway Downs has been released!
For those who don’t know, it’s a six-chapter retelling of the 2008 film Australia. The original film (and this series) was directed by Baz Luhrmann and starred Nicole and Hugh.

The synopsis is as follows. The story follows Lady Sarah, a British aristocrat who travels halfway around the world to confront her wayward husband and sell her unusual fortune, a million-acre ranch in the Australian outback called Faraway Downs. It centers around Ashley (Kidman). . After her husband’s death, Australia’s ruthless cattle king King Carney (Brian Brown) plots to steal her land, and she reluctantly teams up with a rough-hewn cattleman (Jackman) to protect the ranch. . This epic adventure romance is told through the eyes of young Nula (Brandon Walters), a biracial Indigenous Australian child caught up in the government’s harsh racial policies, now known as the Stolen Generations. will be explored. Together, the trio experiences four life-changing years, the romance between Lady Ashley and Drover, and the inevitable fallout of World War II in northern Australia.
