Philippa Northeast and Christopher Chong are the new generation of Sybilla and Harry, while Netflix and Jungle Entertainment are producing series adaptations of my amazing career in South Australia.
The period drama based on the 1901 novel by Miles Franklin is filmed in Adelaide Studios and in various locations throughout the state.
It is expected to inject $17 million into the SA economy. This is the highest spending in any TV series made in the state.
The cast includes Prime Minister Anna as Mrs. Bossa, Genevieve O’Reilly as Helen, Kate Mulbany as Augusta, Jake Dunn as Frank, Alexander England as Julius, Shelley Lee Watson as Nell and Mia Madden as Betty.
The adaptation was written and developed by Liz Dolan, whose executive produces alongside Jungle’s Chloe Rickard and setup director Alyssa McClelland. Anrenton then films episodes 4-6. The episode is also a co-producer. Produced by Paul Ranford of Jetty Films, he co-produces co-producer Courtney Wise and Associate Producer Sharri Sebbens.

In adapting my incredible career, the team is tackling the sacred ground in the 1979 adaptation of Gillian Armstrong’s novel “Australian Ingenious Films,” which began the careers of Judy Davis and Sam Neil. The current classic was the first Australian film to be directed by a woman in 46 years, especially, and Armstrong was the first woman to win the AFI (now AACTA) award with Best Direction.
The casting for the Netflix adaptation was by Nikki Barrett and Nathantos of the UK. Felicity Abbott is a production designer, Kieren Fowler is set-up cinematography and Marden Dean Block 2 cinematography. Marriot Kerr is a costume designer and Zeljka Stanin is a hair and makeup designer.
My incredible career is expected to create around 450 South Australian jobs across key creatives, crews and extras, and participate in 260 South Australian small businesses.
Netflix is also partnering with a South Australian film company on an attachment initiative that serves four training roles to tackle the project.
