Xbox’s Sarah Bond revealed the first info on the next Xbox console, which is set to completely change what he knows about Xbox consoles.
The company has announced that the two companies have partnered with AMD for a strategic multi-year partnership that co-designs silicon for its portfolio of devices including next-generation Xboxes in the living room and hand.
Interestingly, it announces that the next Xbox is not tied to a single store. That is, it sounds like a PC first console that can potentially run the form of Windows (or like the Rog Xbox Ally that exists between Xbox/Windows).
In the same video, Bond says the Xbox team will “work closely with the Windows team to make sure Windows is the number one platform for games,” suggesting that Windows will be at the very forefront of everything Xbox moves on in hardware.
It’s a very interesting type for Xbox and it’s very clear that it’s all about making Xbox games accessible on as many devices as possible.
