Netflix has released the official trailer for Four Seasons, a new eight-episode comedy drama series where Tina Fey and Steve Carell reunited as they navigate the UPS, Down, Downs and unexpected relationship reforms of life. The series, directed, written and starring Alan Alda, based on a 1981 film of the same name, brings together an ensemble that includes Colman Domingo, Will Forte, Marco Calvani, Kerri Kenney-Silver and Erika Henningsen. Look up.
In the show’s teaser, we meet three couples heading for a seemingly relaxed group vacation. They are split up until one of the pairings drops the bomb. This news disrupts their close circles, tests their bonds, and drags up personal truths that have been bubbled up for a long time under the surface.
Created by Fey alongside 30 rock collaborators Lang Fisher and Tracy Wigfield, the series seeks to promise to explore dry wit, moving moments, and how love and friendship change with time. “We hope the audience feels like they’re in a big sweater with us,” Fay told Netflix’s site Tudum.
Carrell said the show was “lived.” “I think it comes from writing and casting. It feels like these people have been in each other’s lives for a long time. There’s a code.
Directed by a team that includes Fey, Fisher and Wigfield, the series is produced by Universal TV, and is also accompanied by Alan Alda and Marissa Bregman as producers.
Four Seasons will be released on Netflix on May 1st.
