Ubisoft today announced the Rainbow Six Siege X. This is a complete overhaul of the siege, which will be released for free on June 11th for those playing on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X | S, and PC.
Rainbow Six Siege x New
There is a new mode called Dual Front and can only be used on PS5, Xbox Series X | S, and PC. This is a 6v6 mode where players must defend themselves on the new map while defending three enemy sectors. Operators have abilities, weapons and gadgets you’ve never seen before, completely changing the siege experience. A detailed preview can be read here.

Siege X offers a visually enhanced classic siege map with new lighting, shadows and 4K textures with clubhouse, chalets, borders, banks and cafes, adding three additional maps for every season. The updated levels have changes to the level structure to provide more strategic opportunities as well.
On the same release date, June 11th, the Rainbow Six Siege is free to access with new players with free access to dual front, unranked quick play modes, and the ability to acquire up to 26 operators through progression.
It will also beta releases on PS5, Xbox Series X | S and PC on March 19th. This includes a complete dual-operator experience and a preview of the Siege X update.
