Sadicink is making its leap from Hawkins to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The Stranger Things star appeared in the upcoming Spider-Man film starring Tom Holland. Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios are moving forward with chapter 4 of Holland’s Spidey Story, with cameras expected to start rolling later this year.
As for who the sink will play, that information remains firmly under the rap, but early words suggest that it is an important part of the new story. Deadline first reported casting news, describing Sink’s role as “important.”
Naturally, speculation began. Some theories suggest that she may be playing Jean Gray, as the studio prepares to introduce the X-Men a lot. Others speculate that they could step into the shoes of classic Spider-Man characters, such as Gwen Stacy and Mary Jane Watson. For now, Sony and Marvel have kept quiet and have not yet issued a statement regarding the casting of the sink.
Destin Daniel Cretton, who previously directed Marvel’s Shanch and Ten Ring legends, is at the helm of the film, produced by Amy Pascal and Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige. This Spidey outing could have a slight tone change, especially with the departure of John Watts, who directed the previous trilogy. The Netherlands suggests the concept of Chapter 4. “The idea is crazy,” he teased in an October 2024 interview with Good Morning America.
It is still unknown that Peter Parker will be waiting for exactly on his next outing. The previous film, Spider-Man: Norway Home, ended with Peter wiped out his presence from the memories of everyone he loves, including MJ and Ned. With that emotional reset in place, many hope that the next story will focus on navigating lonely beings. Of course, that shift opens doors for almost infinite possibilities and new characters, and Sink is reportedly the first major addition to the cast.
When it comes to sinking, her schedule is packed. She will recently be seen in O’Dessa, a post-apocalyptic musical from Searchlight Pictures, which will hit Hulu and Disney+ on March 20th. Sink is set to make his Broadway debut next month with John Proctor, the villain.
Spider-Man 4 is currently scheduled to hit our cinemas on July 31, 2026.
