The production company’s Wooden Hose has made two new appointments from within the ranks, promoting Alexandra Cameron and Vanilla Tup to head of production and co-producer and development manager, respectively.
Cameron joined Wooden Horse as development and production coordinator in 2019, then stepped into the role of ABC’s Disney+ and mother and son S1 clearing. She is now co-producer for season 2 of the show.
As part of the newly created role, she acts as a co-producer of selected productions based primarily in the company’s Melbourne office, taking senior positions as national production manager and co-CEO Jude I work with Troy and Richard Finlayson. And a wooden horse team produces the shepherds’ projects.
“Alexandra’s new role recognizes her incredible commitment to the work we do and her potential as a leader,” Troy and Finlayson said.
The pair also praised new development manager Tupu, who joined Wooden Horse in February 2023, following his role as line producer for Netflix’s documentary One Four: Against Against Alds.
“Vanilla is a talented and energetic executive and she will see her new role increase her responsibility across our growing development slate,” they said.
The wooden horse has offices in Melbourne and Brisbane, the latter led by executive producer Matt Okine. Coming towards the company is Safe Home creator and author Anna Barnes’ new high-tech rider dark mode, and the project is moving forward under a dynamic TV scripting initiative.
