Lenovo made some big announcements at CES, including three new Lenovo Legion GO handhelds, including two new handhelds that use Windows and one of the first devices to use SteamOS.

Lenovo Legion GO S

Lenovo releases two Lenovo Legion Go S handhelds. Both use the Z2 Go chip and feature non-removable controls and a smaller 8-inch 120hz display like the original Legion Go.

The white Lenovo Legion Go S runs Windows 11 on a Ryzen Z2 Go or Z1 Extreme chip with up to 32GB of 7500 DDR5 RAM and 55.5wh battery life.

Another interesting announcement is that the black version is the first to come with SteamOS. This means you’ll run and launch with the exact same UI as Steam Decks right out of the box, and have full access to your Steam Deck library and native cloud saves.

Like the Steam Deck, it also runs Linux, and Valve says SteamOS will be available as an option on other handheld devices in the near future.

Lenovo Legion GO 2

Lenovo has unveiled the first prototype of the Lenovo Legion Go 2. It includes the same form factor as the original with an 8.8-inch display, but now a 144hz OLED display with VRR support.

It utilizes the latest Z2 Extreme processor with RDNA 3.5 graphics, and other changes include a circular D-Pad, up to 2TB of SSD storage, and a high-capacity 74WHR battery.

Pricing and release date for the handheld have not yet been revealed, but we’ll let you know as soon as we know more.
