Wooden Camera releases the Sony FX2 accessory collection and allows you to add monitors, handles, MICs and other accessories.
“We understand the target market for this camera and it was important to meet these creators at competitive pricing,” said Dominik Aiero, senior director of accessories creative solutions.
“We kept the design simple but impactful. It’s ideal for both a run-and-gun setup and a larger, more built-in rig.
“Our intention is to serve creators at all levels. High-end cameras often assume certain accessories. But for FX2, whether they’re a veteran expert or just getting started, we want to provide value and flexibility.”
Important accessories include:
Top Plate – Minimal mounting plate inspired by the FX3 design of a wooden camera. Adds industry standard mounting points compatible with carry handles and other accessory cage L brackets. This is a half cage that protects the FX2 while maintaining all the movement of the camera’s pivot EVF. Includes cutouts and clamps for HDMI cable management, as well as Arca Riser mounting points. Cage Grip – Securely attached to the FX2 body, with additional mounting points for cut-outs and accessories for battery access. 20mm Arca Riser – Mounts to cage L brackets in two directions: vertical or parallel for photo-style setups for traditional cine builds.
With a shift from traditional elite and core systems, wooden cameras now allow users to choose between half-cage and full-cage builds.
