Netflix is planning another SVOD debut in November 2024, in addition to a series of new Netflix Original movies. The R-rated period drama “Widow Clicquot” will premiere on Netflix, but only in the U.S. starting November 16, 2024.
Fans of The Sandman will know who the co-stars of this film are. Tom Sturridge is best known for playing Dream on Netflix’s The Sandman, which is set to return for season 2 in 2025. He co-stars with Haley Bennett, Sam Riley, and Anson Boone. , directed by Thomas Knapper. The plot revolves around a widow who wants to save her husband’s vineyard, even though social and economic pressures make it difficult to go through with it.
The film, which grossed $2.1 million at the box office, was just released in theaters in mid-July 2024, after first screening at TIFF in late 2023.
Netflix in the US is expected to receive its first vertical release of movies in November. Although it has been available on VOD for some time, this is the first time it will be available on a subscription streaming service.
