As networks make programming decisions, Us Weekly will continue to track what TV shows are renewed and canceled.
“Slow Horses” was the first show to be renewed in 2024. The fifth season of the series will air on Apple TV+ in early January and is based on Mick Heron’s spy novel London Rules.
The series, which first aired in 2022, follows a dysfunctional team of British intelligence agents who are assigned the task of pushing newspapers at Slough House. Slow Horses stars Gary Oldman, Kristin Scott Thomas, Jack Lowden, and Christopher Chan.
Minx, on the other hand, didn’t have the same luck when it was canceled for the second time. In May 2022, Max renewed for a second season with Minx, but reversed his decision by the end of the year.
Starz picked up the show, with season 2 set to premiere in July 2023, but decided not to order season 3. Before the cancellation was confirmed in January, Jake Johnson hinted that he wasn’t expecting good news.

Johnson told Deadline in December 2023 that “I don’t expect[a renewal]based on the evidence that I cut my hair short,” and that “there was a lot going on with that show.” He said the series’ fate was “unfortunate”.
“I think the move to Starz was like HBO doing HBO things, and whatever it’s called now is HBO Max, and I think that was brutal (for the show).” he added. “And I think the strike came at the exact moment we were trying to promote it. … My guess is you can’t beat something that many times and keep going.”
