MGM+ has released the official trailer for the Kaley Cuoco-led four-part thriller miniseries Vanished. What starts out as a vacation in Europe quickly turns into a full-blown disappearance nightmare. Watch the trailer above, then read on for more details.
Alice, played by Kaley Cuoco, goes from romance to panic on a train heading to the south of France.
Vanished introduces Alice (Cuoco) meeting her boyfriend Tom (Sam Claflin) in Paris. It’s a relationship built on stolen time and hotel keys. “I’d be happy to meet you in hotels all over the world, but I want to build a life,” Alice tells him early on, trying to keep things more realistic.
Tom assures her, “I love you,” but… you know, the title of the show is set. Alice falls asleep on the train to the south of France, and when she wakes up, Tom is gone. She calls his phone, but hears a muffled sound and immediately hangs up.
Shortly after, she pleads with a detective (Simon Abkarian). His answer was a cold checklist. “There are three main reasons why people disappear: jobs, money, and relationships,” Alice pushed back, confident that Tom would “never do that.” Of course, it soon becomes clear that she may not actually know who she was traveling with.
From there, the trailer cuts through paranoia, chases, and disturbing revelations as Alice finds herself in increasingly dangerous situations in a foreign land.
