James Bond is back. Well, at least in terms of video games. While we are still waiting for new bonds to helm the film’s franchise, developer IO Interactive has given the official title, 007 First Light, to the upcoming Project 007 game.
Project 007 was first revealed in a small teaser trailer in 2020, but has been cricket ever since.
But we know that the game focuses on an entirely new version of Bond that is not based on existing portrayals of the characters.
IO Interactive CEO Hakan Abrak commented on the news, saying that the first light of 007 would be the “beginning of a new trilogy” for Bond.
“The exciting thing about that project is that we were able to actually have an original story. So it’s not gamification of the film. It all starts completely and becomes a story.
007 First Light will be released on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Windows PCs, and even Nintendo Switch 2.
We also recommend that you release the official game in some way by the end of this week, so stay tuned as you unpack the news when it drops.
