In the state of unrealistic presentations that took place overnight, we have seen the Witcher 4 world look like the courtesy of a technical demo set in the gaming world powered by Unreal Engine 5.
It’s worth repeating that this footage has not been pulled from the builds under development of the game. This is just a way to show that the game under development on CD Projekt Red is surprisingly good that it appears to be running on the Base PlayStation 5.
VGC, via a spokesman for CD Projekt Red, said the demo “in collaboration with Epic Games, has confirmed that it has more open world design than ever before and has the core systems and features it is developing using Unreal Engine 5.
Many new technical buzzwords have also been filtered throughout the statement, including SmartGeo streaming, Nanite Leaf and UAF. They’re somewhat lost to me, but what’s certain is that the technical showcase left people unsteady.
The Witcher 4, which watches CIRI take over as the franchise lead from Geralt in Libya, was first on display at last year’s Game Awards.
