Warning: This story talks about miscarriage.
Professional boxer Tyson Fury has revealed that his wife suffered a late miscarriage just hours before losing the biggest fight of her life in May last year.
Fury, 36, a former super heavyweight world champion, was preparing to face Ukraine’s Oleksandr Usyk in Saudi Arabia on May 18.
The two previously undefeated boxing champions were fighting for the undisputed world heavyweight championship, a bout that Fury lost.

What the world didn’t know was that as Fury was preparing for the fight in Saudi Arabia, he received a phone call from his wife, Paris, who told him she would not be able to go to the fight.
He said she told him she couldn’t travel because of high blood pressure, but he quickly learned that his wife, who was pregnant with their eighth child, had miscarried.
“The fight she had, she lost on the Friday of the fight,” Fury explained in a press conference ahead of the rematch scheduled for later this year.
“She was six months pregnant, and it’s not good for her to go through that alone.

“I couldn’t be there for her in that moment. It’s hard for me.”
Furey said he “knew there was a problem” when she told him she couldn’t come.
“I told my brother, ‘She lost the baby.’ She never said she lost the baby, but I knew.
“When she came back, she inevitably found it missing, but she kept it a secret.”
