Currently sitting at 82% on Rotten Tomatoes, the film is directed by Pierre Tsigaridis (two witches) and co-written with Maxime Rançon. It follows the boy whose night terror flows into reality as his mother began to show signs of demonic possession. What unfolds is a lifelong plaguing series of events that have spread over generations, leaving behind the body counts that have passed.
Speaking about the project when Saban Films featured US distribution in April, co-presidents Jonathan Saba and Shannan Becker said:
Tsigaridis described his approach as “fusing the horror of demonic possession with the visceral strength of novel films with the realism of the discovered footage.” He added: “It’s a deep, sensory experience aimed at being completely immersed in our nightmare world.”
Traumatica will open on September 12th at US Cinema, starring Rebekah Kennedy, Emily Goss, Ranen Navatt, Aji Bowen, Sean O’Brian, Susan Gale Watts and Sean Warren.
