BlueFox Entertainment and BlueFox Canada have acquired North American digital and theatrical rights to the comedy Standing on the Shoulders of Kitties: The Bubbles and the Shitrockers Story.
Starring Mike Smith as Bubbles, Rob Wells as Ricky, John Paul Tremblay as Julian, and Patrick Roach as Randy, the film is a spinoff of the long-running Canadian show Trailer Park Boys. Season 16 is currently available for streaming. Netflix. Blue Fox plans to release the film in theaters nationwide, but a date has not yet been announced.

The film was produced under a co-production agreement between Canada and the United Kingdom.
The film depicts Bubbles and his band, the Citrorockers, embarking on a European rock tour and earning an opening spot for Billy Bob Thornton and the Boxmasters. However, after traveling from Nova Scotia to Prague, they are removed from the tour and must rely on busking to survive and find a way back home. Ricky and Julian must find a way to make their dreams come true again, if it’s still possible.
Smith is actually the frontman of the band Bubbles and the Sittockers, who released a 14-song album on Spotify and Apple Music, as well as an American tour that included performances with Billy Bob Thornton and the Boxmasters. We are also planning a full-fledged tour around Europe.
