Lara Croft continues her animated adventures on Netflix. The streaming service has renewed Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft for a second season just weeks after the first season premiered on October 10th.
Hayley Atwell stars as Lara Croft in the animated series, and in season 2, she travels around the world on new adventures.
Netflix shared the following about season 2 of the series:
Adventurer Lara Croft discovers traces of a stolen African Orisha mask and teams up with her best friend Sam to recover the priceless artifact. Lara’s thrilling new adventure will take her around the world, delving deeper into the hidden secrets of Orisha history, and uncovering the machinations of a dangerous and mysterious billionaire bent on taking the Mask for himself. While dodging, you discover that these relics contain dark secrets and powers that defy logic. It is a power that may actually be divine. ”
Showrunner Tasha Huo also teased the season in a statement to Tudom:
“So the theme of Season 1 is Lala coming to terms with how her father dealt with the grief of being isolated. When we meet Lala, she’s very isolated… Season Going into 2, we’re trying to build Lara’s team. Throughout this show, she goes from being a loner hero, a loner who wants to do things on her own, to, “Actually, there’s really nothing behind me. I started to realize that we have a great team. ”
The premiere date for Season 2 of Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft will be announced at a later date.
