A new, untitled Spider-Man movie has been added to the release calendar for July 24, 2026, with Tom Holland returning as the webslinger and Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings director Destin Daniel. Directed by Cretton.
No other movies have dates set for that weekend. The fourth installment begins after the Universal event film on July 17, 2026, and ahead of Paramount/Spinmaster’s Paw Patrol 3 on July 31.
There were rumors that Holland was considering a new Spider-Man movie. Holland and Zendaya’s deals had not yet been finalized when Justin Kroll first reported on Cretton as director for The Fourth Cretton in September, but both big stars have been working with executives and producers on the development of the film in their new deals. The previous film, “Spider-Man: No Way Home,” released in 2021, was the 7th highest grossing movie of all time with a global box office gross of $1.95 billion, and the third highest domestic box office gross of $814.8 million.
