Tom Hardy and Kelly Marcel collaborated on the scripts for the past two ‘Venom’ movies
Tom Hardy and Kelly Marcel always knew how much time they spent with Venom.
Ahead of the release of Venom: The Last Dance, Hardy, 47, and director and writer, 50, admitted they knew the third movie would be the last in the series.
“I knew it was going to be three times,” Marcel told People. “We knew this was a trilogy, and we knew from the beginning that it would end this way.”
Venom was released in 2018 and follows the Marvel Comics character Eddie Brock, an investigative journalist, who becomes a host for the alien symbiote Venom and plots to save Earth from an attack of its kind.
Marcel wrote all three films and directed the final one, while the Peaky Blinders actor co-wrote the latter two.
“Having been in the first two films, I knew this was my third and final film, and I knew it would be a lot of fun and emotional at the same time. “I felt like I was there,” Marcel said.
He added: “Tom and I have spent the better part of seven years working on this production and we really wanted to take it home from start to finish. It was the right time to step up and the right It felt like a movie,” he added. Let’s do it together. โ
Tom Hardy agreed: “100 percent.”
