Tamil OTT Releases: A number of new Tamil movies and web series are now available for digital streaming on OTT platforms such as Amazon Prime Video, Tentkotta, and Disney+ Hotstar. Some of them will be released this week.

Kadaishi Uraga Pol
Kadaisi Ulaga Por is a 2024 Tamil dystopian sci-fi action thriller directed, produced and written by hip-hop Tamizha Aadi. Set in 2028, the story depicts the aftermath of a war caused by India’s refusal to ally with its neighbour.
The film stars Aadhi, Nassar, Natarajan Subramaniam and Anagha and is Aadhi’s third directorial project and his first under Hip Hop Tamizha Entertainment.
The film, which was released in theaters on September 20th, received mixed reviews for its storytelling and ambitious setting. The movie is currently streaming on Tentkotta and also available for rent on Amazon Prime Video for ₹279.

Thangaraan is a 2024 Tamil action-adventure film directed by Pa. Ranjith and co-written with Tamil Prabha and Azhagiya Periyavan. Set during the British Raj, the film depicts a tribal leader, played by Vikram, who comes face to face with a sorcerer after helping a British general seeking gold in a village.
Produced by Studio Green and Neelam Productions, it stars Parvathy Thiruvothu, Malavika Mohanan and Daniel Caltagirone.
Released in multiple formats on August 15, Tangalan received mixed reviews, with praise for the performances and action, but criticism for historical inaccuracies.
Following legal troubles over its scheduled OTT release on September 20, the film will be available for streaming on Netflix by Diwali. No official announcement has been made yet.

Lubber Pandhu is a 2024 Tamil sports drama directed by Tamizharasan Pachamuthu and produced by Prince Pictures. Starring Gethu Dinesh and Harish Kalyan, Sanjana Krishnamoorthy and Swasika, the film tells a compelling story of sportsmanship and personal challenges.
Lubber Pandhu, which released on September 20, was widely praised for its performances, gripping storyline and emotional depth, striking a chord with critics and audiences alike.
The film is currently streaming on Disney+ Hotstar.

Produced by Jyothika and Suriya under 2D Entertainment, the film stars Karthi in the title role and co-stars Arvind Swamy, Rajkiran, Sri Divya, Devadarshini, Jayaprakash, Sriranjani, Ilavarasu, Karunakaran and Saran Shakthi. C Prem Kumar’s movie is currently streaming on Netflix.
Aindam Vedam
Aindam Vedam is a Tamil mythological thriller series directed by L Nagarajan, starring Sai Dhansika, Santosh Pratap, and Vivek Rajgopal in the lead roles, with a supporting cast including YG Mahendra, Krisha Kurup, and others.
The show is scheduled to premiere on ZEE5 in both Tamil and Telugu and debuted on October 25.
