The top 10 “final destinations” ruined everyday life (and we love it)

Final Destination: As the pedigree entered the cinemas it reminded me once again why the franchise had endured for 25 years. The film’s death is absurd, but that absurdity is enveloped in cold validity. Whether it’s a dentist trip or a highway drive, your final destination will turn familiar and mundane into a carefully tuned mess.

We looked into the franchise’s body count (not counting the latest films) and highlighted the most awful, creative, frightening, and deeply unstable deaths.

Just head up (or…off?): We’ve included clips from the movie, so get ready to relive some of the franchise’s most cruel, bloody, and unfighted deaths. If you squeal on gore, blood, or flying body parts, well…

10. Gym’s Head Squish (final destination 3)

Meet Lewis: Jack, cheekiness and his muscles make him invincible. He laughs at it when a pair of decorative swords sways and misses him a little. “F-ck’s death!” he cried. “I just won. That’s everything I know how to do it!”

But death won’t give up. Those blades were not missed. They sliced the exact cable needed to interfere with his weight machine. After the last person in charge, Lewis’s skull is crushed like a watermelon. After all, ego is not a great protection against physics.

9. Nail Gun Incident (final destination 3)

A hardware store is dangerous enough without treating all the shelves like weapon caches. In this scene it’s Ian McKinley, who is sure he’s cracking the code of death. Ian narrowly and harms as the planks crash and the wood rains from above.

But death never aimed for him. It’s his girlfriend, Erin. Wood flies in her way, and she slips the spilled liquid in and bumps into her back against her nail gun. It’s brutal and fast to follow: multiple claws fire, clap her head and hands. nailed it.

8. Acupuncture Clinic Inferno (final destination 5)

Sorry, there are no clips here (restrictions on YouTube’s “sensitive content”).

Isaac walks to the wellness centre in hopes of a giveaway massage and maybe a little…something else. What he gets is a cursed combo of needles, fire, and falling Buddha. As the fragrance gets a little too close to the flammable surface and the table begins to give way, Isaac is skewered with an acupuncture needle before being crushed by a statue.

This earns a variety of points, including needle horror, fire, dull force trauma, and how quickly the gentle spa energy flips into a full-fledged health space.

7. Dentist Office Setup (final destination 2)

Tim’s trip to dentist is like a nightmare. First, the illicit pigeon causes chaos outside and leaves the dentist halfway through. A plastic fish then falls into Tim’s open mouth, almost suffocating him as he lies there under the influence of nitrous oxide. He survives that near-death moment… he is simply crushed outside by a glass pane that falls with surgical accuracy. It’s a misconception of the classic final destination: invite you with one potential death just to attack from a completely different angle when your guard goes down.

6. Elevator decapitation (final destination 2)

Nora Carpenter’s End Mise is one of the most miserable things in the series. It’s the same part of claustrophobia and cruel. It starts with her ponytail wrapped in the arms of a prosthetic limb carried by a creepy quiet man on a lift. The elevator door closes before she unravels herself. Her head is closed inside the lift and her body is still outside.

The elevator starts to rise. slowly. It’s jarring. You taste every second, as if death itself was behind control. The stud jerk is facing upwards and it becomes clear what is about to go down. “I don’t want to die!” she cried. Death, of course, is not a mercy mood. After a few painful trembling moments, Lift finally fires her head. This is a sequence that unfolds like torture, transforming everyday environments into pure engines of fear.

5. Death by a barbed wire fence (final destination 2)

Sometimes death doesn’t wait. Just 60 seconds after KAT is brutally dispatched with a broken PVC pipe, he passes behind the skull by an airbag that unfolds at the wrong time and meets him at the end of one of the franchise’s most memorable grotesque visuals.

The explosion sends a portion of a barb wire fence with posts and slice-enabled wires, shooting in the air, passing through Rory’s body, turning him into a set of three pieces. It’s kind of death, very sudden and cartoonishly brutal, and almost feels slapstick.

4. Death from LASIK (final destination 5)

Olivia heads out for her everyday LASIK ophthalmology surgery. It’s harmless, isn’t it? It’s not this universe. The eyelids are tied in place with spilled eyelids, forcing them to watch the spilled water glitch the laser machine. While she is completely awake, the laser begins to burn in her eyes.

The scene is already cruel. Then she stumbles back through the window, and ends up in her death several stories. Her eyes pop out to twist the knife and run off down the street. Morbidly cheerful.

3. Escalator Grater (final destination)

Escalator: A seemingly simple transport…or a death machine that crushes teeth in a skate? In a chaotic mall scene, Loli is dragged as she slides down under one of these mechanical monsters. Her body is bitten by gear.

2. Suntan Bed Bake-Off (final Destination 3)

Ashley and Ashlyn wanted to relax and grow up. Instead, they literally roasted. After being trapped in a malfunctioning tan bed, they slowly burn out in one of the franchise’s most portrayal of claustrophobic death scenes.

It’s all about sweat, screams and melting of goggles. The scene is hellish in its simplicity, and takes things as frivolous as sunburn, turning them into a waking nightmare. I love the matches cut at the edges of the sequence. Slap the bed on the co.

1. Log Truck Massacre (final destination 2)

Now, you knew this would go up to the top or be shocked by the nearby area. This is a sequence that solidifies its final destination as a horror staple. Cutting truck. A loose chain. Tumbling log. And then suddenly, chaos. The opening premonition for the final destination 2 begins in the mountains of the extremely cruel highway. We see the state trooper’s torso being wiped out, bikers being crushed in their own vehicle, and trapped drivers burning alive in his car.

Unlike the more bizarre setups of the franchise, this sequence hits differently. I feel that is plausible. It looks scary. No supernatural manipulation or elaborate gimmicks are required. The highway, some misfortunes, and a series of events that we had nervously imagined, while cruising behind the cicadas.

This isn’t just one of the best final destination sequences. This is one of the most effective horror openings. And honestly? It could have saved a life. To this day, we are switching lanes as we see the second logging truck. The best PTSD in the movie.

Honorable mention:

Death from clothesline (final destination) pool drainage drainage (final destination) Exploding barbecue (final destination 2) – Sorry, kid. The Roller Coaster Madness (Final Destination 3)
