Xbox today announced that both the ROG Xbox Ally and the Rog Xbox Ally X will be available in almost all markets, including Australia on October 16th.
The company has yet to disclose market pricing, but it has checked handheld compatibility programs, such as “handheld optimization” and “almost compatible” tags, that make it easy to identify compatible games.
Xbox has also announced many other features that will be featured in Xbox Ally X, including:
Automatic Super Resolution (Auto SR): System-level features used for high-end games running NPU power at lower resolutions – High-resolution visuals and smooth frames require no additional changes from game developers. Highlight Reel: Does AI capture outstanding gameplay moments, such as epic boss battles and victory, and generate short replay clips? Share it on friends and social channels. Advanced Shader Delivery is a new feature that preloads game shaders during downloads, so the game starts up to 10 times faster, runs smoothly, and uses less battery on your first play. More games will support this feature over time. A wide range of compatible accessories including the newly announced ROG Raikiri II Xbox wireless controller are created by ASUS partners through the design of the Xbox program and get a 1000Hz polling rate, anti-drift TMR joystick and dual mode trigger in PC mode. ROG Raikiri II Xbox Wireless Controller will be shipped worldwide on this holiday. Details will be shared soon. And we’re working to enable seamless, high-performance setups that support big screen games, Auto SR, intuitive controller pairing, optimized display output, and more, including enhanced docking experiences for Xbox Ally and Xbox Ally X.
I’ll continue posting details about both handheld pricing and other releases, but for now I’ll have to wait a few more months.
