Summer itinerary is on track
Heather (Klein) thinks she understands everything. It’s her final adventure with her friends before life gets serious. She doesn’t expect to map her trips, book stops, and find anything more than memories to take home. That changes when she meets Jack (APA), a spiritual traveler at will, following a different kind of guide.
Their charm is instantaneous, and Heather’s carefully rampant plan begins to unravel. “He chased us from the station,” one of her friends whispers early, raising an eyebrow before the sparks ignite completely. Soon, Jack asks her to delay her return, and Heather falls into a romance he hadn’t planned.
Love, loss, and the roads we take
The trailer depicts the journey as idyllic and emotionally plagued. Sunny beaches, quiet train rides, and gazes that get heavier over time. But at all new destinations, the questions remain. How long can a temporary romance last?
“If you go the wrong path, you can miss it and regret it for the rest of your life,” Jack tells her. It’s not clear if he’s talking about love, travel, or anything deeper, but the clock is ticking. Fleeting shots at the airport suggest that their stories don’t have a clean resolution.
The cast and creators behind the adaptation
Alongside Klein and Apa, the film features Josh Lucas, Sofia Wiley, Madison Thompson, Orlando Norman, Eva Garcia Montiel and Giuseppe Sirasi.
The script comes from Les Bohem (Dante’s Peak) and Vera Herbert (This is us). And at the helm is Tiajerker and filmmaker Lasse Hallstrom, a well-versed filmmaker who is well-versed in romantic entanglement.
