‘Virgin River’ has set an incredible record for Netflix with its seventh season renewal.
According to Deadline, the streamer officially picked up the TV drama on Wednesday (October 23), nearly two months before Season 6 is scheduled to begin airing in December.
The streamer has ordered 10 more episodes of “Virgin River.” This makes it the longest-running scripted series currently produced on Netflix, and the longest-running English-language drama in the streaming service’s history.
Guaranteed at least seven seasons, Virgin River is ahead of Netflix dramas House of Cards and The Crown (which each had six seasons), and ahead of Spanish-language teen drama Elite at eight. Just short of the season.
