20th Century Studios has released a teaser trailer for The Devil Wears Prada 2, which reunites Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt, and Stanley Tucci nearly 20 years after the 2006 classic. Watch the teaser above and read important details below.

Clips keep things simple and sharp. A pair of red heels strides across the polished floor, revealing their owner. Miranda Priestly, once again played by Meryl Streep, is eternally calm, sharp, and immaculately dressed. She puts on her sunglasses and gets into the elevator, but her expression is unreadable.
Just before the door closes, a hand stops it. Anne Hathaway’s Andy Sachs. “Miranda,” she says. Miranda covered her eyes and paused, then answered, “That took you long enough.” Andy is undaunted. She just smiled, put on her own sunglasses, and closed the door. There’s no story or bells and whistles, just two icons taking back the battlefield. The line “It took me long enough” neatly indicates how long it took for the sequel to be completed.
Plot details are closely guarded. Industry buzz says the sequel, in which Miranda will tackle the decline of print media and the changing power of fashion, is a natural evolution for Runway’s ruthless editor-in-chief. Judging from that teaser reunion alone, it appears Andy has carved out a formidable path for himself.
Cast: Returning legends and newcomers
In addition to Streep and Hathaway, the sequel will see Blunt reprise her role as the ambitious Emily Charlton, and Tucci will reprise her role as fan-favorite Nigel.
The returning ensemble was joined by a slew of newcomers, including Kenneth Branagh, Simone Ashley, Justin Theroux, Lucy Liu, Patrick Bramall, Caleb Herron, Helen J. Shen, Pauline Chalamet, BJ Novak, and Conrad Ricamora. Tracy Thoms and Tibor Feldman will also reprise their roles as Lily and Irv.
behind the scenes
The sequel reunites much of the original creative team, with David Frankel returning as director, Aline Brosh McKenna returning as screenwriter, cinematographer Florian Ballhaus returning behind the camera, and production designer Jess Goncho also returning. Wendy Finerman will produce, with Michael Bederman, Karen Rosenfelt and McKenna serving as executive producers.
