Ted Danson shows that it’s never too late to say “I’m sorry.”
On this week’s episode of Danson’s SiriusXM podcast, Danson apologized to his former Cheers co-star Kelsey Grammer for letting their decades-old argument get in the way of their friendship.
“I feel like I got stuck with you a little bit during my time on Cheers,” he said in a guest appearance on Where Everybody Knows Your Name, which also (occasionally) starred Ted Danson and Woody Harrelson. He told Glamor. I remember getting angry once.

Although he didn’t elaborate on what triggered his anger at the time, Grammer admitted to remembering the moment, saying, “Well, one day you came and told me about it.” Ta.
“It’s something we both remember. But I feel like I missed out on the last 30 years of Kelsey Grammer, and I feel like it’s my fault, my doing,” Danson said. said.

Grammer thanked Danson for his apology, and Danson said with a smile that he “wish we’d spent a little more time together” over the years, but the past conflict now seems to have been forgotten.

Danson is best known for playing Sam Malone on the popular NBC comedy Cheers from 1982 to 1993, alongside Grammer, who appeared on the series as Dr. Frasier Crane from 1984 to 1993.

After Cheers ended, Grammer reprized his role in the spinoff series Frasier, which aired from 1993 to 2004 and was rebooted in 2023.
