Fans online felt that her own experience fighting incredibly may have made her reconsider her friendship with Portnoy.
“Taylor Swift writing a thank you letter to Dave Portnoy is totally weird in every sense of the word. Sorry,” one user wrote to X.
“I heard Taylor wrote a letter to Dave Portnoy and wow, I never thought he would take such a big swing away from her. Like? What’s your idea of this???” Added another. It was done.
Although Swift has not addressed the online messages, other fans have come to her defense.
“I love how passionately Dave Portnoy loves Taylor Swift,” a fan wrote.
Swift probably never expected the contents of the letter, which was given to Portnoy in private, to become public.
