Update: Super Mario Strikers has been released for Nintendo Switch 2 Online + Expansion Pack members.
Original Story: Nintendo announced that the Nintendo Switch 2 GameCube game will arrive on July 3rd after the first release of the Nintendo Switch Online + expansion pack members.
This game is Super Mario Striker, and this is one of the most beloved GameCube games and is a game I personally love. I was able to play at the Nintendo Switch 2 event in New York City, but it also runs the appearance with a widescreen Switch 2 with enhanced graphics.
This will make four batches of current GameCube games available (Zelda: Wind Waker, F-Zero GC, Soul Calibur II), but we also know that the following games will also be coming in the near future.
Super Mario Sunshine Fire Emblem: Radiance Pokemon XD Pass: Strong Wind in Darkness Chibiro Voluigi’s Mansion Pokemon Colosseo
In terms of when these other games will arrive, we expect Nintendo to drop one or two games each month, just like other platforms.
Here’s how Nintendo explains Super Mario Striker:
Mario and his friends clash in this extreme soccer game originally released in 2005 for the Nintendo GameCube™ system. Matches are unfolded with white hot speed, strength and familiar items such as shells and mushrooms to help crush Opts. But the real key to winning is super strike. This is a powerful shot that allows you to score two points at once! Dive in quickly with simple controls, hone your techniques, and hit the pitch with Mario and his friends! Available only on Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack members on Nintendo Switch 2!
