Long speculated, Valve today announced three pieces of hardware, including a home console/PC hybrid for Steam Machine, a new VR headset for Steam Frame, and a new Steam Controller. They all run SteamOS and are designed to push PC gaming in new directions.

The Steam Machine is a 6-inch cubic mini-PC running SteamOS. It has 6x the power of the Steam deck and targets 4K gaming at 60FPS with FSR. Available in 512GB and 2TB options, both are expandable via MicroSD and feature 1 Gigabit Ethernet. Displayport 1.4. HDMI2.0. 1 USB-C port and 4 USB-A ports.

Steam controller features
The new Steam Controller comes with a puck that not only acts as a wireless transmitter, but also a magnetic charging station. It has magnetic thumbsticks, HD rumble, grip-enabled gyro controls, a familiar trackpad, and all the Steam buttons you need.

Valve also announced a new VR headset on Steam Frame. It’s a wireless headset that utilizes streaming, but it’s also a standalone VR headset thanks to the Snapdragon 8 Gen3 processor. There’s a 2160 x 2160 pancake lens per eye with a 72-144hz LCD panel, and the controller is as you’d expect.
