The day has finally arrived. Today is the day Australia will finally get the Steam Deck and Steam Deck OLED, years after its release in other parts of the world. Sales will begin at 10am (AEDT) from the link below.
If Valve finally bringing Steam Deck to Australia wasn’t enough, a limited edition White Steam Deck OLED has been revealed and will be released on the same day Steam Deck is introduced to Australia.
The White Steam Deck OLED comes with white/gray accents, a matching white carrying case, and a white cleaning cloth to complete the overall look. It’s pretty surprising, if I do say so myself.
Just like the translucent black model, which was released at the same time as the OLED and quickly sold out, this one will also be sold in a limited edition.
There’s a 1TB OLED model, priced at AU$1,099, which is $50 more than the standard price. You will be able to order as soon as Steam Deck goes on sale in Australia on 19th November (today) at 10am (AEDT) (along with all other markets where Steam Deck is available).

For those not familiar with the two models, the Steam Deck OLED features a larger 7.4-inch HDR OLED display with a maximum brightness of 1000 nits. The refresh rate has been updated to 90hz and touch screen latency has also been improved.
The device has a larger 50whr battery (up from 40whr) and when combined with a more efficient APU, you can expect a 30-50% increase in battery life. Valve says it’s suitable for 3 to 12 hours of gaming, depending on your situation. I’m playing. Despite the device having a larger screen and larger battery, the total weight is 30 grams or 5% lighter, which should make a big difference in comfort.
