Stage & Screen, a travel management company for the sports and entertainment industry owned by Flight Center, has appointed Wonitta Atkins as general manager for Australia.
Atkins has been with the company for almost 10 years, starting as an account manager and then being promoted to account management director and operations director.
She previously held senior sales and marketing roles at Mirvac Hotels and Accor, and also worked as a principal travel representative for Stage and Screen.
Under her operational leadership, Stage and Screen was named NTIA’s Best National Travel Management Company in 2023, achieved a 98% customer retention rate, and recorded a 20% Best Place to Work improvement rate across Flight Center Group Travel.
Tiziano Galipo, global managing director of Stage and Screen Travel Services, said Atkins’ appointment reflects the company’s “Future Brightness” philosophy, which prioritizes developing leaders from within.
“Wonitta embodies what a bright future really means,” Galipo said.
“She first experienced our services as a supply partner and was so impressed that she joined us. Nearly 10 years later, she has built an exceptional track record across all of her previous roles. There is no one better suited to lead our company now as we celebrate our 30th anniversary and look to our next chapter.”
Atkins said she wanted to join Stage and Screen because she saw something different in its operational approach.
“Attention to detail, problem-solving under pressure, a true partnership approach. I wanted to be a part of building that from the inside out,” she said.
“I have had the opportunity to experience both the Stage and Screen sides for almost 10 years, first as a supply partner and then as part of this team.
“As we prepare for the next 30 years, the opportunities ahead are about evolution, not revolution. We will continue to drive innovation, develop our people, and deliver the kind of excellence that made me want to work here in the first place.”
