Orchestra plays film music to accompany film clips on screen

BREVARD COUNTY • SATELLITE BEACH, Fla. – Space Coast Symphony Orchestra brings heaps of good vibes with Christmas at the Movies, a concert of holiday film music and film clips, on Saturday, November 30th at 7:00 pm at Satellite. Let’s get ready. High School Performing Arts Center, 300 Scorpion Court, Satellite Beach.
The Yuletide Classics program features music from White Christmas, Miracle on 34th Street, It’s a Wonderful Life and more, played live as the action unfolds on the big screen.
The program includes film scores and excerpts from “Scissorhands”, “Gremlins” and “Home Alone.” For the younger set, SCSO brings the excitement of Harry Potter, The Polar Express, and Disney’s A Christmas Carol.
Tickets for the concert are $35 and can be purchased on the orchestra’s website www.SpaceCoastSymphony.org or at Marine Bank & Trust in Suntree. Tickets at the door are $40. Concert goers who are 18 years of age or younger or have a university ID receive free admission to each SCSO concert.
Space Coast Symphony Orchestra Conductor and Artistic Director Aaron T. Collins believes there’s no better way to start the holiday season than with a Christmas movie.
“Everyone’s Christmas favorites will be featured in this concert,” Collins said. “Bring the whole family! This is a multimedia event that will make your vacation truly special.”
