PlayStation has confirmed that Metal Gear is selling Delta: Snake Eater will be released on August 28th along with Snake vs Monkey mode.
Original Story: Ultimately, a source of rumours and speculation has been suspended, Konami has (incorrectly) revealed the release date for the upcoming remake of Metal Gear Solid 3 via the PlayStation app.
Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, The Game is a complete remake of Metal Gear Solid 3. The game takes place in front of all other games and records the origins of Big Boss, but in this game it is called Naked Snake.
The trailer revealed many scenes from the original game, except for the redo in Unreal Engine 5 Visuals, and confirmed the release date.
Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater was officially released on August 28th, 2025.
The trailer also reveals the return of Snake vs. Monkey mode. Sankey mode had a unique pistol with banana camouflage and unique pistols that cornered a bunch of monkeys from the monkey escape game.
The mode was previously included in the game’s PS2 release, but was later removed from the game’s Master Collection version as Ape Escape is a property belonging to Sony.
Although it hasn’t been confirmed yet, it’s safe to assume that Snake vs. Monkey will remain exclusive for the PlayStation version of the game, but we’re still waiting for confirmation.
Still, it would be great if there was a release date in the end. Can you come to Nintendo Switch 2 as rumored? You have to wait and see.
