“Small Town, Big Story” trailer: Christina Hendrix and Paddy Concidin series destroys Hollywood in the countryside of Ireland

Check out the official trailer for the upcoming comedy drama series, Small Town, Big Story, and Big Story, starring Christina Hendricks (Mad Men, Good Girls) and Paddy Considine (The Dragon House, Death of Stalin). The series was created by Chris Odoud, perhaps best known for playing roles in bridesmaids, IT crowds and Sapphires. He also co-created, co-written and starred in the Irish series Moone Boy.

Set in the fictional Irish border town of Dorban, a small town, the big story follows Wendy Patterson (Hendrix). The filming is intended to revitalize a struggling town, but instead, it could drown long buried tensions and reveal secrets from decades ago.

Konssidin plays Saems Proctor, the town’s beloved doctor and former flame of Wendy. His personal life is already on an unstable ground – his marriage has collapsed, his children are forging their own paths – but the arrival of the crew of the film only adds to the chaos.

The ensemble cast includes Irene Walsh, David Laurel, Patrick Martins and Odoud himself as Dr. Jack E. McCarthy, a writer who writes novels as the basis for Wendy’s television series. The town is filled with quirky and flawed characters, and it all deals with personal struggles when production overturns their way of life.

“I was looking for something northwest of Ireland,” Odoud told Ireland News. “A friend of the producer then contacted me. He worked in Northern Ireland when he was filming Game of Thrones, and we were anti-main over the phone about what a fun story it would be. I did.

With Hendrick on, Odoud told Variety that he didn’t expect him to actually land her for the role while she was on his radar. “This was the first time I’ve worked with her, but I was a huge fan. Me and my wife were big, hugely crazy guys fans. We’re casting this. , she was jumping into my head as a great person, but I never got her, I never knew her, and I was working somewhere, I was talking to my wife over the phone and she said, “I wouldn’t believe who was in the kitchen this morning.” It was Christina Hendricks. They had a connection to this fashion. And we ended up having dinner and I pitched her a show. ”

The series, commissioned by Sky Studios by Sky Studios, is produced by Sky Studios related to Sky Studios by Playground, FilmNation Entertainment and HotCod Productions.

The Small Town, Big Story, premiered on February 27th, will be streamed in Australia on Binge (also available on Hubbl) and aired in showcase. It will be available in the UK and Ireland with Sky and Streaming Service.
