It took a long time between the breakdowns, but Euphoria finally returns. Sidney Sweeney promises that the chaos is over.
The actress revealed about returning to the role of Cathy Howard in three years, describing the experience as wild and deeply personal.
“I have that kind of place in my heart for Cathy, and I hold her in a hug, “I am truly dear, and I am truly dear,'” Sweeney said in a new interview with Empire magazine.
Fans already know that Cathy’s emotional tail spin is part of what makes euphoria an explosive viewing experience. According to Sweeney, season 3 has doubled. “It’s so much fun to play a character that’s as crazy as her,” she said. “Sam (Levinson) is a really great filmmaker to work with. He reads something, so he calls him and says, ‘Let’s go crazy.’ And he’s like, “I’m with you guys.” And I’m indifferent this season. ”
We were asked if he was more whimpering than before, but Sweeney didn’t hesitate. Laughing, she confirmed: “Yes.”
Life after Cathy
Beyond the set, Sweeney acknowledged how happiness and Kathy’s personality changed her life. She was only 20 years old when she filmed the pilot, and the meteor rise of the show thrust her into the spotlight in a way she wasn’t fully prepared.
“It definitely changed my life,” she said. “When using social media, the amount of access, the amount of Kathy’s content is high, people have a hard time separating the actor from the characters.”
Of course, Cathy is complicated. They are worshiped by people who are disliked by others. However, the actress began to accept the tension. “If they hate me the decisions my characters are making, I’m playing the characters right.”
I have always dreamed of playing a character I was very fortunate to play. Yes, you learn. I was 20 years old and filmed a pilot of happiness, and the age of 21 came out. So it was a whirlwind at a really young age. You need to roll with punches, grow, learn and adapt.

Season 3 is currently filming in Los Angeles and introduces five years of time jump. In other words, he is finally leaving high school. Returning cast includes Zendaya, Jacob Elordi, Alexa Demie, Maude Apatow, Eric Dane, Hunter Schafer and Colman Domingo. New additions include Sharon Stone, Rosalía, Marshawn Lynch, Lucy Punch, Asante Blackk and Kadeem Hardison.
The delays caused by Hollywood strikes and creative shakeups have pushed the series back for years, but if Sweeney’s bullying takes anything, the wait may be worth it. Cathy comes back – and she brings drama with her.
