Screen Australia welcomes the appointment of Dr Tania Chambers OAM to its Board of Directors. Dr. Chambers’ extensive experience in the film and television industry will provide valuable knowledge and insight to the Board.
Dr. Tania Chambers OAM
Dr. Tania Chambers OAM is a producer and executive producer for Feisty Dame Productions. Dr. Chambers is the author of films such as Invisible Boys, How to Please a Woman, A Few Less Men, Kill Me Three Times, the documentary Making Waves, and the first series of the children’s series Itch. He has produced films and television series. A qualified solicitor, her board experience includes previous work as chief executive officer of funding agencies Screen NSW and Screenwest, and a member of Screen Australia’s gender issues taskforce. is Chair of the Media Coordination Industry Network Group, the Film and Television Association (WA) and the WA Screen Industry Diversity Leadership Group. Dr Chambers was made an Officer of the Order of Australia for services to the arts, film and television and was awarded an Honorary Doctorate of Performing Arts from Edith Cowan University.
Dr. Chambers was appointed for a three-year term. I would also like to pay tribute to the important contribution of Helen Leake AM, a member of the Board of Directors who will step down from her term on 26 June 2024.
