Australian Film, Screen Australia and Big Screen have announced FUTURE VISION, a think tank and industry conference of courageous ideas. The ground-breaking World Television Summit will be held over three days from July 15th to 17th at ACMI in Melbourne.
The headline guests for this first creative conference are: Three-time Emmy Award and Golden Globe Award winner Lee Sung-Jin created, wrote, executive produced and directed the award-winning Netflix series BEEF. Joanna Caro, the award-winning co-showrunner, executive producer and director of The Bear, also wrote the scripts for Hux and BoJack Horseman. The summit’s co-chairs are award-winning Bruna Papandrea (Big Little Lies, The Undoing) and Tony Ayers (The Slap, Clickbait). FUTURE VISION Creative Director leads Masterclass’s content team and oversees the creation of Class alongside Annie Leibovitz, Anna Wintour, David Lynch, Margaret Atwood and Martin Scorsese, along with producer and executive Rebecca Yeldham (The Gift, “Motorcycle Diaries”). This innovative think tank aims to advance the art of premium episodic storytelling in Australia by bringing together established local television experts and the world’s leading television producers and executives. FUTURE VISION creates long-term, positive impact on the Australian screen industry by building meaningful creative exchanges and commercial opportunities, ensuring our stories resonate around the world.
Comprised of two components: a series of invitation-only workshops and an extensive industry conference, FUTURE VISION brings industry-established creators together for intimate working sessions, high-level networking events, and large-scale industry conferences. Involve them in the conversation.
