Sarina Wiegman has handed Katie Reid, Taylor Hynes and Lucia Kendall their first squad of 25 players for England’s first match after winning Euro 2025.
Wiegman is preparing for friendly matches against Brazil at the Etihad Stadium on October 25th and Australia at Pride Park three days later.
With Lauren Hemp, Lauren James and Leah Williamson out of the European Championship group due to injury, 20 players remained in the standings.

Arsenal defensive pair Reid and Hynes and Aston Villa midfielder Kendall will experience Lionesses camp for the first time, while midfielders Laura Blindkilde-Brown and Missy Beau Kearns will return after missing out on the Euros squad.
Wiegmann will have to get used to life without defender Millie Bright, who announced her retirement from international football on Monday.
The 32-year-old has won 88 caps during her career with England and was a key part of the team that won Euro 2022 and captained them to the World Cup final the following year.
She missed out on winning Euro 2025 due to injury and watched the Lionesses defend their title by defeating Spain on penalties in Switzerland in July.
The match against Brazil will be their first since the Finalissima in April 2023, when Ella Thun scored in a 1-1 draw at Wembley and Wiegmann’s side once again took the penalty shoot-out.
Wiegmann said: “I’m happy to be back and after a great summer in Switzerland I’m really looking forward to playing in front of our great home supporters again.”
“We felt the energy in the stands throughout the tournament and are grateful to have our fans back in October and November.
“In Brazil and Australia we will play two top opponents who will test us in different ways. This is exactly the kind of challenge we need as we prepare for World Cup qualification starting early next year.
“It’s great to celebrate successes, but it’s also the start of a new cycle with new opportunities and goals. I can’t wait to get everyone together next week to get started.”
