Radio host Rob Dempsey has died.
The HisAir network reported that Dempsey went into cardiac arrest shortly after being admitted to the hospital for emergency surgery.
The news comes days after Dempsey revealed in an Oct. 15 Facebook post that he had been diagnosed with bladder cancer.

News of the Christian radio host’s death was also shared on his radio show, “Rob and Liz in the Morning.”
“He always made us laugh,” the radio hosts said, according to multiple US publications.
“His fingerprints are all over this place. He wasn’t just a boss, he was a leader and an encourager. He had a tremendous impact on the community and Greenville.”

He added, “We lost him, but heaven gained such a wonderful person.”
“He’s celebrating with Jesus.”

On October 21st, Dempsey announced on his Instagram that he was hospitalized for surgery on his left kidney.
“This hospital is overcrowded down to the hallways. Nothing can be done, but the nurses and doctors are doing great,” he wrote.

When she shared the news of her cancer diagnosis on Facebook, she was told by doctors that she was being “aggressive,” but said: “Today I take comfort in knowing God is in control.” .
“I sincerely thank everyone who prayed for me. I saw the report today. I have bladder cancer and it seems to be aggressive,” he said.
“Thankfully, I feel safe today knowing that God is in control. The days ahead will be difficult, but that’s okay. I am determined to be a father to my children. Masu.”

“I’m determined to be the grandpa who watches them grow up, graduate, and get married. I want to grow old with my wife who has been through all this hard stuff.”
She added: “I’ve seen some videos of people who have overcome this situation and have new bladders. Things are looking hopeful.”
The radio star is survived by his wife, children and grandchildren.
