Creative Workplace and Screenwell partner to provide free psychosocial safety training to the screen industry.
Tailored Training is designed to help businesses, producers, and managers such as HODS provide a better understanding of their legal obligations and how to support a psychologically safe workplace.
JIT was developed in response to recent changes to workplace health and safety laws and provided guidance on how to identify and manage psychosocial risks and risks. These can include job demand, poor support, bullying and harassment, lack of clarity in roles, traumatic events and materials, remote or isolated work, and more. Some risks may not pose a risk to itself, but are only done in combination or in serious cases.
The initiative will provide free access to training for 300 participants. It takes about 40-60 minutes to complete. You can register your interest here.
“In a creative workplace, we know that good mental health and a safe and respectful culture are an essential foundation for a thriving screen industry. This partnership makes legal obligations more accessible and meaningful, and we are proud to be able to support such initiatives.”
Screen’s proper managing partner Jonathon Dutton added: “We designed this course practically from a screen industry perspective because it can be difficult to understand the law. We also highlight some of the common dangers and risks that exist in all screen workplaces, so those who manage businesses and people really fit into the way they mitigate the risk of harm.”
