Razercon took place this morning, and the company announced a number of innovative new products, including Freyja, a haptic gaming cushion.
Based on the haptic gaming chair that Razer showed off as a prototype earlier this year, the Freyja is designed to be used while sitting on the chair and features six advanced controls that are programmed to follow the user’s direction. You can feel multi-directional haptics through the haptic motor. Whatever is happening on the screen, in Hogwarts Legacy for example, changes completely based on the direction of the spell.
It’s compatible with PCs via Razer Synapse, as well as Android devices via the Razer Nexus app.
Developers will be able to release enhanced haptics in already announced games such as Hogwarts Legacy, Final Fantasy 16, Snowrunner, and Silent Hill 2.
A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of spending some time with the very new Razer Freyja Haptic Gaming Cushion. Full review coming soon???? @RazerANZ pic.twitter.com/U8DCl0JQBR

I was able to experience Freyja in person a few weeks ago, which made it even more immersive. It takes a little getting used to at first, but you’ll get so used to it that you’ll forget you’re sitting on a vibrating cushion, and you’ll feel so immersed in the game. Stay tuned for the full review.
The Razer Freyja launches in Australia today and can be ordered on Razer’s website for AU$549.95.
